The HOME2 SYSTEM is the culmination of over a decade of training expertise, helping you get fit in the simplest, most effective way possible.
Unlike many single-use exercise machines you see at the gym, the TRX’s Home2 Suspension Training System allows you to perform more than 300 exercises, making it one of the best pieces of equipment you can use in the gym — or in your own home. Not only can you use it to improve your posture, learn to squat or work on stabilizing your core, but you can also use it everyday without fear of injury.
“The risk of hurting yourself using the TRX is very low — it’s possible, but it’s rare to see an overuse injury from using it,” says Dan McDonogh, senior manager of performance training for Under Armour, who previously worked for TRX, focusing on education and programming for the brand. “Because you’re using your body as the weight, and you’re not externally loading the body, most exercises aren’t hard on the joints. Plus, you can change the load instantaneously if need be.”
ABOUT TRX
The TRX System, also known as Total Resistance exercises, refers to a specialized form of suspension training that utilizes equipment developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick. TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete the exercises. TRX’s designers claim that it draws on research from the military, pro sports, and academic institutions along with experience gathered from the TRX team, who work “with thousands of athletes, coaches, trainers, first responders, subject matter experts, professors, and service members in all branches.”
